When a client reaches out to Boald, they're not just hiring a contractor — they're starting a relationship built on communication, precision, and accountability. Our process has been refined across commercial interiors, institutional buildings, exterior retrofits, and special projects throughout Alberta.
Our ten-step process moves from site visit through project completion: site visit, client consultation, 3D rendering and layout proposal, pricing and subcontractor quotes, presenting the proposal, signing contracts, issuing subcontracts, mobilization, weekly progress updates, and project completion.
Every project starts with eyes on the actual space. We document everything before we form an opinion. Then we listen first in a working session with the client, produce a spatial proposal they can react to, and build the budget from the ground up with firm subcontractor pricing.
We present proposals in person, execute industry-standard CCDC contracts, and formalize subcontract agreements that mirror the prime contract's safety and schedule expectations. Mobilization is coordinated, not chaotic — and clients receive weekly written progress updates throughout construction.
Finishing the right way takes as much attention as starting. We complete a formal deficiency review, compile a full closeout package with as-built drawings, warranties, and lien releases, and hand over a building the client understands with documentation they can actually use. That's how we define done.
